Josh Martin

Career

Josh Martin is currently on secondment from the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) as an economic advisor at the Bank of England. Most recently Josh was Head of Productivity at the ONS, responsible for overseeing the publication of all regular productivity statistics. Previously he worked on a range of productivity-related topics at ONS, including firm-level analysis, public service productivity, and multifactor productivity. Josh has worked extensively on measuring capital, including work on intangible assets, infrastructure, capital stocks and capital services. He is a Topic Lead for the Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence (ESCoE), focusing on productivity, and a member of the International Advisory Committee for the International Productivity Monitor. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham, and an MSc in Data Analytics for Government from the University of Southampton.
